Drawings to Specification. Class 83 (1). Continuous casting apparatus comprises a mould which is resiliently mounted for axial movement with the ingot when the sliding resistance of the ingot relative to the mould increases, and damping means arranged to limit the speed of return of the mould when the increase to sliding resistance disappears. The subject-matter of the Specification is identical with that of Specification 881,454, which is referred to. Specification 806,803 also is referred to.
