Abstract
694,403. Shearing. WAGENBACH, A. Aug. 30, 1951 [Aug. 30, 1950], No. 20500/51. Class 83 (iv). In a machine for shearing metal bars with at least one movable blade the direction of movement AA of the blade is inclined to the axial feed direction of the bar 3 at an angle equal to the cutting angle α of the blade in order to prevent slewing of the bar during shearing. The machine may be mounted on a wheeled carriage moved at right-angles to roller tables for feeding bars to and from the shears.
