Abstract

807,005. Rolling. BOHLER & CO. A.G., GEB. Jan. 23, 1957 [Jan. 23, 1956], No. 2407/57. Class 83 (4). A table b, Figs. 2, 3, for collecting moving cut bars a as they emerge from a roller table c of a rolling mill can be inclined to one side so that the bars glide in a curved path and are piled up in troughs e on either side after losing substantially all of the axial velocity. The table b is mounted on a series of semi-circular plates f which are supported by roller bearings g. In a modification the table b may be used in combination with a shears l, Fig. 4, for cutting stationary work. The bar to be cut is set to length against a pivoted end stop i and is held in position in the middle of the table b by a pivoted side guide h. The table is tilted towards a trough k so that on lifting the guide h the bar rolls into the trough.
