958,751. Rolling. MORGAN CONSTRUCTION CO. May 9, 1962 [June 29, 1961], No. 17820/62. Heading B3M. [Also in Division B8] Bars 20 are cooled on a walking beam conveyer 46 and are aligned at their ends by rolls 8 so that they pass on to shuffle bars 22, 24 which are operated by eccentrics mounted on shaft 26 to convey bars 20 as shown till these are checked by a stop 51. When the operator wishes to feed bars 20 on to roller conveyer 42, he causes stop 51 to pivot clockwise to the position of Fig. 3. At the same time rollers 25, which support the right-hand ends of the shuffle bars, are caused by linkage 46 to move clockwise so as to raise said ends of the shuffle bars. The effect of both movements is to free the rods from stop 51 to discharge themselves on to the roller way till the linkage 51-46-25 is moved back to its original position.
