Abstract

1,048,116. Roller guides. T. BURDELSKI, [trading as FERROPLAST, TH. BURDELSKI & CO.]. Sept. 16, 1964 [Sept. 16, 1963], No. 37763/64. Heading B3M. A guide for material to be rolled includes a V-shaped casing 1 having horizontal limbs 2 and 3 inside which are mounted guide carriers 4 and 5, the guide carriers supporting shaped guide bars 40 and 41 (Fig. 5, not shown) at their entry side and guide rollers 11 at their exit side. The carriers are pivoted about a vertical axis by bolts 18 and are adjustable at the entry side by nuts 31 and 32 to vary the spacing of the rollers 11. The carriers include lugs 22 and 23 through which passes a bolt 24, the bolt supporting adjustable nuts 27 and 28, spring washers 25 and 26, and the adjusting nuts 31 and 32. Further adjusting nuts 33 and 34, on each side of a projection of the casing 1, allow slight angular adjustment of the carriers relative to the casing. The guide bars 40 and 41 may be of generally L-shaped cross-section so that they interengage. Adjustment of the rollers 11 in the rolling direction may be provided for.
