Abstract

1,173,672. Balloon limiting device. PALITEX PROJECT-CO. G.m.b.H. 10 Aug., 1967 [11 Aug., 1966; 14 Oct., 1966], No. 36758/67. Heading DID. In a balloon limiter for a two-forone twisting device comprising a jacket 4 slotted at 10 and held at its lower end in a slotted retainer ring 3, the retainer ring has vertical columns 8 each side of its slot to support the edges of the jacket 4, adjusting devices being provided between the columns 8 and the slot edges to radially adjust and so align the slot edges. Adjacent rings 3 are secured to each other and are mounted on the spindle rail by posts (6), Fig. 1 not shown, covers 7 being mounted by adjacent columns 8 of adjacent spindle arrangement. Pads of resilient material are placed between columns 8 and the edges of the jacket 4 so as to allow for the adjustment of the edges. In Fig. 2 studs 11 engage nuts in columns 8 (the nuts being rotatable but otherwise fixed in position) so that rotation of the nuts effects the required adjustment. Other forms of screw adjustment are shown in Figs. 6 and 7 not shown. A wear resistant bracket e.g. of steel, may be provided on each side of slot 10 to engage a recess on the inner face of the jacket, pass outwardly through the slot and be secured in a recess in the respective column 8. The brackets may be fixed to the edges of the jacket and form part of the adjusting means. The brackets may be hardened or chromium plated.
