690,322. Paper bags. HONSEL, C., (trading as MASCHINENBAU HONSEL & CO.). Oct. 12, 1951 [Dec. 21, 1950; Aug. 3, 1951], No. 23815/51. Class 94(ii) A side-fold paper bag, which is made in flat form and adapted to have the bottom formed during filling, has triangular patches of adhesive applied adjacent the edge of the bottom fold to connect the surfaces of the side folds to the outer surfaces and to form an adhesive connection at the edge of the bottom fold and the transverse sides of the bottom. In the embodiment described the bag blank 15 has patches of adhesive 19 ... 26 applied on each side of the outside longitudinal fold edges 16, 17, and the inside fold edges 18, adjacent the edge of the bottom fold 15a, while the blank is still part of a web to be formed into a hose before severing. In order that the sticking may take place after the hose forming, the adhesive is dried and rewetted at a later stage, or it may be of the dry type or heat-sealed type.
