Abstract

621,273. Paper bags. AUTO-WRAP CORPORATION. Feb. 13, 1947, Nos. 4233, 4234 and 4235. Convention dates, Feb. 19, 1946, March 29, 1946 and Sept. 23, 1946. [Class 94(ii)] A bag of paper, " Cellophane " (Registered Trade Mark) or the like is provided with one or more rectangular plaits or folds 3 extending from the closed bottom to the open top of the bag where the plait is expandable. Fig. 1 shows the bag tube before the bottom is formed as by folding or merely bending over the end of the tube and securing it against the side of the tube. One or more sides of each plait may be coated with adhesive which is made tacky by wetting. The bag bottom may be square or of satchel type. Specification 614,223 is referred to. Various shapes of bags having substantially triangular folds are described in the Specification.
