Abstract

652,673. Paper bags. MEDWAY PAPER SACKS Ltd., and WINSKILL, J. W. March 1, 1947, No. 5921. [Class 94(ii)] A multi-ply paper or like sack with a block-bottom 6, 5 has a metal screw-neck 7, with a cap 8, secured to the bottom of the sack. The bottom is reinforced with a sheet of stiff or strong material such as card, metal or canvas 6 which is glued into the folds of the bottom and formed with a hole for the screw-neck. The margin of the sheet 6 is preferably attached to the flange 9 and a washer 11 by means such as an adhesive. The screw-neck may be secured as described in Specification 652,312.
