Abstract

574,288. Paper bags. GATWARD, H. F. Jan. 26, 1944, No. 1504. [Class 94 (ii)] [Also in Group XV] A paper bag is secured against accidental opening by means of a tongue 2 on the flap 3 which is passed under a strip 9 on the part 6 and has its end 8 folded-up to engage the strip and prevent withdrawal of the tongue. The strip 9 may be formed by slits 7 in the part 6 or a separate strip may be attached. The back and front of the container can be connected by flaps which may be pleated. The part 8 may be secured to the tongue 2 over the whole or part of its surface. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 16316/06, [Class 146], 111,739, [Class 146 (ii)], and 214,376, [Class 94 (ii)].
