Abstract

1,033,525. Envelopes. CHAPMAN & CO. (BALHAM) Ltd. Aug. 19, 1964 [Dec. 5, 1963], Nos. 33311/63. Heading B6A. An envelope for the inspection of contents is made from a blank comprising a front panel 1 and back panel 2, and having integral therewith front and back flaps 4, 8. The back flap 8 is provided with adhesive area 11 which may be folded about line 10 to adhere to the remaining portion of the flap. The double thickness flap is then folded on to the back panel 2 along the fold line 9 and the portions of the folded flap, which are not overlapped by the flap 4, Fig. 3 (not shown), are provided with adhesive to adhere the flap to the back panel 2 thereby producing a pocket into which the front flap portion 4a, then folded about the fold line 10 may be inserted. The flap 4 is provided with perforations 13 defining a tongue 12 which is released for facilitation of the withdrawal of the flap portion 4a for inspection of the contents.
