Abstract

841,500. Envelopes. WINKLER, R., and DUNNEBIER, K. March 17, 1958 [May 23, 1957], No. 8436/58. Class 146(2). A continuous envelope assembly is formed by cutting out gussets 2 from a web 1 to make a sealing flap 6, a back portion 5, and a front portion 11 having side wings 3. The back portion 5 is separated from the preceding sealing flap 6 by a line of perforations 4. After folding in the side wings 3 and the application of adhesive 6a, 9 the back portion 5 is folded on to the front portion 11 and secured by the adhesive to the inversely folded side wings 3. The sealing flap 6 is folded about the line 4 so that the back surfaces of the parts 5, 6 come into contact. Addresses can be typed on to the front portion 11 and individual envelopes 10 can be detached by tearing along the line 4.
