Abstract

520,174. Envelopes. PIRIE, APPLETON, & CO., Ltd., and WOLFF, H. Feb. 3, 1939, No. 3394/38. [Class 146 (ii)] In a self-sealing envelope wherein one of the stripes 5 of a drysealing material is borne upon a separate sheet 4 adhered to the envelope 2, the protective flap E extends towards the crease line of the sealing flap 3 when the envelope is prepared for sealing. The strip 4 is secured to the envelope over half its area, the outer face of this part carrying the stripes 5. The related stripe 7 may be provided either on a strip 8 secured to the flap 3 or on the flap itself. Strip 4 may be on the flap 3 and stripe 7 or strip 8 on the envelope body.
