430,067. Envelopes, paper bags, &c. LINDGREN, A. G. S., 14, Rosenlundsgatan, Gothenburg, Sweden. Sept. 5, 1934, No. 25533. [Class 146 (ii)] [See also Group XVII] In an envelope, wrapper, paper bag, or the like which is provided with sealing means in the form of dried coatings of caoutchouc or the like having the property of sticking only to one another, and which are disposed to be superimposed when the envelope &c. is folded for sealing, the adhesive coatings are applied in interrupted strips or spaced spots, instead of continuous strips, the purpose being to detect or prevent tampering, since all the spots of adhesive must be separately removed on opening. The envelope shown has two interrupted strips or rows of spots 1 of adhesive on both the closure flap and the back. Where the spots in the top row on the flap extend to the top edge, and so are liable to come into contact with the spots at the edge of the flap of an adjacent envelope in a pile, the spots at the edge of one flap are staggered relative to the corresponding spots on the flap of the adjacent envelope in the pile.
