Abstract

227,340. O'Callaghan, P. May 8, 1924. Envelopes. - In reply envelopes of the kind provided with two sealing flaps 2, 3 at the open edge, the flap 2 used for sealing in the first transmission is provided with adhesive surfaces 5 bounded by perforations 4, and small ungummed portions 8, to facilitate opening but not sufficiently large to allow other matter to lodge in the pockets so formed, are arranged between the top edge 6 of the flap and the gummed surfaces 5. The flap 2 is made large enough to cover the whole of the front of the envelope, and the gummed surfaces 5 extend round three sides of the flap. The top edge 6 of the flap 2 is also perforated to facilitate opening.
