622,219. Opening envelopes. WOOD, G. L. April 1, 1947, No. 10225/46. [Class 146 (ii)] An envelope 4 incorporates a folded strip of paper 1 containing a filament 2 which projects therefrom at one end, the strip 1 being attached within the envelope so that the filament lies along the fold where the flap 5 joins the body of the envelope 4. One gummed edge 5<SP>1</SP> of the flap is notched at 3 so that when torn back the filament 2 is exposed.
