Abstract

1,216,318. Envelopes. CHAPMAN & CO. (BALHAM) Ltd. 10 Dec., 1968 [18 Dec., 1967], No. 57317/67. Heading B6A. An envelope formed from the blank shown includes an extension strip 7 joined to one edge of the envelope by a line of perforations 6, and two compartments formed by panels 10 interleaved between front and back panels 1, 2 and stuck down by adhesive 11a, 11b. The blank may be bound in a magazine or the like by a second extension strip 8, the strip 7 being provided as a tear-off label. The blank, when folded along lines 13 and 12, the flaps 10 being secured to panels 2 by the adhesive 11a, 11b and the panels 2 being secured to the panels 1 by adhesive 5, forms a pair of envelopes each having a closure flap 3, a first compartment between the flap 10 and the panel 1, and a second compartment between the flap 10 and the panel 2 and delimited by the adhesive areas 11a, 11b. The blank may be bound in an assembly comprising two adjacent magazines which are subsequently severed, the blank being divided along the axis of symmetry so that one envelope is bound in each magazine. The adhesive used may be remoistening adhesive or self adhesive.
