Abstract
472,339. Envelopes &c. LAES, C. May 12, 1936, No. 13432. Convention date, May 24, 1935. [Class 146 (ii)] An envelope or the like of the dry-sealing type has two folding lines in the closure flap e, one a<1>, c<1> arranged so that when the closure flap is folded thereon, the adhesive on the flap lies against the body of the envelope above the adhesive on the back of the envelope, and the other a, c being arranged so that when the closure flap is folded thereon, the adhesive coatings are superimposed for sealing. The line a<1>, c<1> is pre-folded during manufacture, and the other line a, c may or may not be prefolded ; in the latter case, the line a, c may consist simply of a printed line. A bag-shaped envelope with a small, substantially rectangular, closure flap has the adhesive on the back displaced a short distance from the mouth, and the additional folding line is arranged just beneath the adhesive coating on the closure flap.
