Abstract
466,179. Paper &c. bags &c. PHILIPS, C. L. E. O. H. T., PHILLIPS, E. B., and PHILLIPS, D. H. Nov. 20, 1935, No. 32225. [Class 94 (ii)] A bag &c. of paper &c. intended to be sealed by a metal closure strip folded about the mouth, includes a metal strip 12 of substantial width disposed with its lower edge below the mouth proper and secured directly e.g. by stitching 13, eyelets &c., to the edge of one lip of the mouth, the upper edge of the strip projecting longitudinally beyond the bag &c. mouth. The strip 12 may be formed with a grooved or weakened line 16, or may have an initial bending as at 17, to facilitate folding over the mouth of the bag &c. Where the bag &c. is of the multiply type the strip 12 may be positioned and secured between the plies at the mouth.
