[Class 94 (ii)] A valve bag having a diagonal cross bottom end closure has at least one of the lateral parts 11a or 11b and 12a or 12b of the valve flaps secured by a paper strip 13 to the inner surface of the corresponding side flap 15 or 16. In another form, the strip is secured to the outer surface 15 or 16 and its ends are folded back over the valve flap on to the inner surface of 15 or 16.
