358,454. Valve bags. WILLIAMS, H. R., 141, East 81st Street, New York, U.S.A. April 4, 1930, No. 10735. Convention date, April 18, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 94 (ii).] The valve of a valve bag, which may be of the multi-ply type and made of paper or cloth, is formed from a separate strip of material 14, 15 either of the same material as the rest of the bag or different, the portion 15 being shaped to conform with the folding lines 19, 20, 30 and adhered to the side bellows fold 11, 12, 13 of the bag. The portion 15 may be affixed to the topmost ply, or may be inserted between any two of them leaving the portion 14 projecting beyond the straight wall of the bag blank. On folding in the valve, the edges 21, 22 will coincide with the edges 23 of the front and back of the bag, and all the edges may be joined by a single row of stitching.
