Abstract
444,928. Paper &c. bags. SMITHE MACHINE CO. Inc., F. L., 633, West 44th Street, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Novick, A. ; Flushing, New York, U.S.A.) Feb. 25, 1935, No. 6014. Convention date, March 15, 1934. [Class 94 (ii)] A sift proof bag of paper, transparent cellulose, &c., of the satchel bottom type, comprises a tube 1, a bottom forming square with two equal triangular portions whose free edges substantially meet at 4, but do not overlap, the square being creased at 11, 12 to form tab areas 9, 10 which are folded over on to the base and adhered by gum areas 13, 14, and a patch 7 covering the margins 4 centrally up to a portion of the tab areas 9, 10 but terminating within the boundaries of the square and adhesively united to the bag material at 8. The bag may be of square cross-section so that the tips of the tab areas 9, 10 do not overlap. Specification 437,449 is referred to.
