Abstract

580,833. Paper or like bags. DONALDSON & FILER, Ltd., and FILER, O. R. Feb. 6, 1945, No. 3001. [Class 94 (ii)] The bag of paper or cellulose film or both comprises two plies, the larger 1 having three edges 3 which are folded over the corresponding edges of the smaller ply 2, and secured by adhesive. When the bag is to be sealed up, adhesive 5 is applied to a strip of ply 2 under perforations or slots 4 so that when the upper edges of plies 1 and 2 are folded over, the folded over edge of 2 is stuck to the ply 2, forming a hem, and adhesive penetrating the holes or slots 4 causes the folded-over portion of the ply 1 to adhere to the hem of the ply 2.
