Abstract

314,712. Triggs, W. W., (Bates Valve Bag Corporation). Aug. 13, 1928. Paper and like bags; securing bags, special means for.-A bag 10 having a valve 11, which may be formed by the end-closing flaps of the bag, is provided with a valve-sealing tube 14 open at both ends and having its inner end affixed to the valve opening and its outer end extending therebeyond. Two portions 16, 15 of adhesive secure the inner end of the tube to the end wall 18 of the bag and to the valve 11 respectively and when the bag has been filled the outer end 19 of the tube is flattened, its corners 20, Fig. 3. are folded over, and the end is folded over and tucked between the tube and the wall of the bag or flap of the valve 11.
