[Classes 18, 66, 94 (i), and 94 (ii)] A paper &c. container with a generally cylindrical body, is formed from a rectangular blank A scored &c. as shown, to close which the triangular portions 26 . . . 33 are brought together in pairs and the top extensions 35 ... 43 brought together in a substantial straight line. The portions 35... 43 may each be provided with an extension, of similar form, which extensions are folded thereover, in the closed position, and are stapled &c. to seal the container. Alternatively, only two such extensions, stapled into place, may be used or the portions 35 ... 43 may be secured by a metallic U-strip 60 placed thereover. The U-strip may be weakened intermediate of its ends at 61 to allow of a portion being detached and folded back, Fig. 8, when the folds 28, 29 ; 26, 27, e.g., may be separated to form a pouring spout. The bottom of the container may be formed by inserting therein a downwardly flanged disc, which may be " stepped," of single or double thickness, the bottom edge of the body being turned inwardly and adhered over the flange.
