Abstract

274,556. Mono Service Containers, Ltd., (Mono Service Co.). April 21. 1926. Lids and covers; opening by cutting or tearing. -The end closure disc of a paper or like container has on its upper surface a scoring E, Fig. 1. and on the under surface a scoring D of smalter size. The scorings may be coupled or interrupted, and may be of square, oval, rectangular or other form. Bv inserting a fork, knife, or other instrument along the line E and prising the material the centre portion becomes broken away and forms a replaceable hinged cover, as shown in Fig. 3. As shown in Fig. 4 the scorings may be so formed that the upper one comes close to the turnedover edge H of the container, and the edge of the central portion, when broken open, has to be sprung past the part H, a means being thus afforded of holding the cover closed. A tab G, Fig. 1, may be scored out to serve the same purpose. ,Specification 248,902 is referred to.
