431,372. Cartons &c. GEE, L. F., Moor Lodge, Moor Lane, Crosby, Lancashire, and BATCHELOR, G. H. R., 57, Gracechurch Street, London. Nov. 13, 1934, No. 32638. [Class 66] A rupturable cupshaped paper, tagger tin or like closure b provided with a turned - over flange or skirt b<1>, b<2>, is secured to the plain end of a receptacle of paper or similar frangible material by means of a metal bonding annulus, compressed thereover as shown in Fig. 4, or in the manner shown in Fig. 8, in which construction a fold c<3> of the annulus is disposed between the skirt b<2> and the wall of the receptacle. The annulus is formed from a strip the ends of which are abutted, overlapped or dovetailed together.
