Abstract
434,176. Cartons. GEDDES, F. T., Olderfleet Road, Larne Harbour, Larne, Northern Ireland. Oct. 8, 1934, No. 25008/33. [Class 66] To prevent tampering, the metal closure strip 5 applied over the collapsed end of a paper &c. carton is impressed with channels such as 6, 6a disposed at right angles to each other as shown. The strip is formed with an integral tab tc facilitate removal when de sired. The joint 2a, 2b of the carton body and that between the flanged disc bottom and the body may be " welded by suitably softening the material and pressing the parts together. The cartons may be made from waterproof paper or may be waxed after manufacture.
