468,919. Boxes. CODERE, F. J. Nov. 20, 1936, No. 31809. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1935. [Class 18] A box is made from a single blank and comprises four sides 2 which are folded to tubular form and secured by an extension 5, four flaps 1 constituting the bottom, and four flaps 3, 4, 6 constituting the top. In closing the box, the flaps 3 are first folded down so that their free edges abut, flap 4 is folded on to these flaps and its free edge 11 tucked into the box between the contents and the adjacent side, and the flap with its inturned edge 7, is finally folded down and secured by an adhesive strip. Flap 4 has a window 9 covered by transparent material so that, when the box has been opened and the flaps 3, 6 folded back, the flap 4 can be folded down again to display the contents. A slot 12 facilitates lifting of the flap 4. The portion of the blank which is removed in forming the window 9 may be replaced during transport to protect the transparent material of the window.
