Abstract

376,953. Cardboard &c. boxes. THOMPSON & NORRIS MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. and MINCH, H., Stanley Gardens, Acton, London. July 16, 1931, No. 20457. [Class 18.] A box of cardboard, corrugated fibre board, &c. for containing and displaying soft vegetables, fruits, &c. has opposite sides provided with showcards or price cards 3, 4 which when folded meet or substantially meet midway of the length of the case, and for display purposes are tilted one up and one down. The cards may serve as closure flaps and may be combined with further closure flaps 2. The receptacle may be made from a rectangular blank with three lateral incisions on each lateral edge, the blank being folded to form an open-ended tube with the two meeting edges secured by an adhesive strip &c. The container is erected by folding in the four bottom flaps and securing by a strip of adhesive material &c. The covering flaps 3, 4 may also be secured by an adhesive strip &c. The blank may be scored to allow the flaps 2, 3, 4 to assume the positions shown, and may also be scored along the other folding lines. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 104,445, 274,459, and 334,367, [all in Class 18, Boxes &c.].
