Abstract
688,619. Air space cables. DAY & CO. (DERBY WORKS), Ltd., J., and DAY, S. Aug. 17, 1950 [June 7, 1949], No. 15116/49. Class 36. The conductors of a coaxial cable are spaced apart by an integral structure of polyethylene comprising concentric tubes 1, 2 and a pair of opposed radial webs 3 which are straight and provide semi-annular spaces between the tubes, the structure being produced at one extruding operation around the central conductor 5. The outer conductor (not shown) is applied about the outer tube 2, and may be enclosed in an outer sheath of polyvinyl chloride.
