[Class 36] A high-frequency electric cable comprises an inner conductor 1 enclosed in a tube 2 of insulation (other than rubber) upon which is electrolytically deposited an outer conductor or screen 3. The tube 2 may consist of normally solid polymers of ethylene and engages either the conductor 1 or a continuous or intermittent spider 5 of polythene to provide airspace insulation. The conductor 3 consists of silver or copper and is protected by an extruded sheath 4 of plasticized polyvinyl chloride.
