1483280 Cables SAMUEL MOORE & CO 2 July 1975 [19 Aug 1974] 27890/75 Heading H1A A cable suitable for use at high temperatures comprises at least two conductors 24, 28 insulated by coatings 22, 26 of irradiation cured ethylene tetrafluorethylene copolymer, ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer or polyvinyl chloride and a jacket 12 of irradiation cured halosulphonated polyethylene polymer, polychloroprene or chlorinated polyethylene. An insulation coated metal screen 16 may be provided together with an earth wire 30 and rip cord 14. The electron irradiation may be performed on the assembled cable or is preferably first on the insulation and then on the jacket, the dose preferably being 5-#12 Mrods.
