The piston 23 of a pump is connected by a crosshead 24 and rods 20, passing through guides 21 on the pump casing, to a dead weight cradle 19 fitted with a plate 17, having a rubber cushion 18, against which bears a cam or eccentric 16 driven by a motor 14 through a reduction gear 15.
