Abstract

684,107. Cable clips. FERNBERG, E. B., and FERNTOL PATENTS, Ltd. March 30, 1951 [May 6, 1950], No. 11285/50. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A cable clip-formed by bending up a strip of spring steel comprises a clamping arm 44, Fig. 10, and a depending U-shaped strip 47 adapted to snap into an aperture of the support. Feet 49, 50 may be provided to abut the surface of the support adjacent the aperture on one side while the free end of the stud member is pointed at 48 or formed with a central tongue to engage the wall of the aperture by cam action. In another form, the feet 49, 50 are omitted, shoulders between the clipping arm portion and the stud portion abutting the surface of the support on each side of the aperture. In this form the end of the stud portion is turned inwardly as shown in Fig. 12 which illustrates a further modification in which the clipping arm is bent at a right-angle at 54, the edges of the part between the bend 54 and the shoulders 56 seating on the support adjacent the aperture.
