Abstract

682,196. Resilient chain-wheels. RENOLD & COVENTRY CHAIN CO., Ltd., and BURAWAY, O. Dec. 8, 1950 [Dec. 23, 1949], No. 32987/49. Class 80 (ii). A chain wheel comprises a toothed rim 16 connected to its hub 14 by a rubber ring 12 which is bonded to two concentric cylindical surface; of the hub and rim. Flanges 18, 20 provide interengaging running surfaces on the rim and hub by which they are held concentric. In modifications (a.) the rubber ring 12 is received between two flanges on the toothed rim and (b) the rim and hub have opposed circumferential surfaces which appear wavy when viewed axially, the rubber ring 12 being bonded to these two surfaces.
