Abstract

680,304. Inductors. PHILCO CORPORATION. May 4, 1950 [June 28, 1949], No. 11035/50. Class 38 (ii). An electrical circuit device 15 comprising a tubular element is secured to an apertured supporting panel 10 by a U-shaped spring 25 and through engagement of the side of the element and a slot 23 in an end thereof with respective walls of the panel aperture 11. As shown with reference to a tunable inductor, the element comprises a coil former carrying a winding 16, and a plug type core 20 of comminuted iron or non-magnetic material, e.g. bran, is screwed into the former, a portion 26 of the spring 25 passing through a former slot 27 to provide reaction for a screw-threaded part 21 of the core. An undercut 29 prevents inadvertent core removal.
