592,031. Coupling circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., Oct. 22, 1943, No. 17459., Convention date, July 18, 1942. [Class 40 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXV] A wide band I.F. coupling comprises a pair of tuned transformers in tandem, each having means for varying the relative positions of the coils and for varying the inductance of the tuned winding. As shown, the untuned winding 21 is outside the tuned winding, but it may be inside or coaxially arranged on a former of the same diameter. Its position is adjusted by a screw 36. The inductance of the other winding is varied by altering the position of a magnetic core 31 by means of a screw 33.
