Class 122(i) [Also in Group XXXIV] A band brake 52 is applied by a fluidpressure operated piston 61 in a cylinder 60, the end of the piston rod 63 engaging a guide 67 allowing axial movement and tilting movement in a transverse vertical plane of the piston and rod, but preventing lateral movement thereof, pressure tightness between the piston and cylinder being maintained by an L-section sealing ring 62.
