Class 39(iii) To improve the power factor in the heating of vessels having a ferromagnetic wall and located within an inductor winding, a closed secondary winding is provided which is of a non-magnetic and electrically conductive material in the form of a coil comprising a number of band form turns closely bearing against the vessel inner or outer wall, which wall is not part of a closed magnetic circuit.
