Abstract

670,213. Manifolding attachments. MANIFOLDIA, Ltd. Aug. 17, 1950 [Aug. 22, 1949], No. 21703/49. Class 16. A manifolding attachment for a typewriter comprises a backing sheet 17 carrying carbon papers 18, and which is formed with a loop 15 for threading on one of two parallel members 10, 11 secured to discs 12, 13, at least one member, e.g. member 10 as shown, being detachable at one end to facilitate the threading. The discs may be of light metal or resilient rubber polished on their inner surfaces and dimensioned so that the forward movement of the attachment through the typewriter is arrested but not jammed between the platen and the paper guide. The length of the members 10, 11 is such that the discs keep the paper webs 19 and the carbons 18 in alignment. The backing sheet 17 has broadened sections 21 serving to secure sheet attachment strips 22. Specifications 469,922 and 610,975 are referred to.
