Abstract

848,795. Typewriters &c. SMITH & SON (ALACRA) Ltd., W. H. Nov. 23, 1956, No. 35967/56. Class 100(4) A stationery feeding attachment for feeding paper webs and interleaved transfer material is secured to a tabulating or like machine by hooks 24 on its side frames engaging a cross-bar 15 of the tabulator and is located laterally on the bar by collars 25. A rod 26 has tongues 27 received in slots in the sides 13, 14, not shown, of the tabulator carriage and rotatably mounts two eccentrics 29 grooved on their peripheries to adjustably support the side frames of the attachment. The eccentrics can be adjusted about the shaft 26 and be secured in position by set screws 30 thus pivoting the attachment about the crossbar 15 to adjust the engagement of its gear 38 with a gear 11 of the tabulator. Three guides 44 hooking over on cross-bars 46, 15 support the webs between the pin wheels and the platen. Specifications 848,793, 848,794, 848,796 and 848,797 are referred to.
