Abstract

596,683. Typewriters. BRUMHILL, C. W. June 7, 1945, No. 14349. [Class 100 (iv)] Ink-ribbon mechanism; paper-supports.-In typewriting and like machines adapted for producing mirror-script originals by feeding a hectograph ribbon 13 between a paper &c. sheet 10 and a support surface such as a platen 6, a thin anvil 25 preferably made of a slightly resilient non-metallic sheet material such as waxed paper, celluloid or synthetic resins, is positioned between the ribbon 13 and the platen 6 at the point of impact of the types. The anvil may be associated with the ribbonsupport described in Specification 596,682, being detachably mounted by means of domeheaded studs 26 on the guide 14 which enter holes 27 in the top bar 25a of the anvil.
