Abstract
<PICT:0670101/III/1> <PICT:0670101/III/2> <PICT:0670101/III/3> Liquids are homogenised by passage through a cyclone comprising a vessel with a tangential inlet and an axial outlet into a whirl chamber consisting of a vessel open at one end only, at which end liquid is both fed and discharged. As shown in Fig. 2 liquid is fed tangentially into a vessel 1 from which it is discharged axially into a vessel 2. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also the homogenisation of liquids by bringing the liquid to a high velocity such as by spraying under pressure and expending the energy as turbulence. As shown in Fig. 2 (Cancelled) liquid is projected from an adjustable orifice 3 into a chamber 8 and withdrawn at 9. A homogeniser combined with a centrifugal separator is shown in Fig. 5 (Cancelled) wherein cream separated from milk entering at 9 is passed through an orifice 13 into a stationary chamber 12 which may contain projections. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
