Abstract
667,828. Powder blowers. MORSINK, A. March 16, 1950 [March 16, 1949], No. 6605/50. Class 18 A powder blower comprises two tubes 1, 2 telescopically slidable, the inner tube 2 having a perforated lid 10 and an inverted closed bag 3 secured to the tube by the lower end to form an airtight joint. Powder 12 rests on the bag within the tube. A perforated cover 4 closes the bottom end of the tube. The outer tube 1 has a perforated closure 6 and in one form has a perforated diaphragm 8 of paper forming a non- return valve. On withdrawing tube 1, air is drawn into the space under the bag and on reversing the movement the bag is inflated, forcing the powder out through the lid. In place of the valve arrangement a hole in the side of the tube 1 admits air and is cut off at a certain point by tube 2 when the two tubes are telescoped inwardly.
