Abstract

632,522. Inflatable garments. SPACK, H. June 10, 1947, No. 15260. Convention date, July 2, 1946. [Class 141] Swimming trunks are provided with an inflatable bladder 23 of the shape shown accommodated in a pocket secured to the inside of the front of the garment and comprising two deep end portions 10 joined by a neck 11 situated just below the waistband 7. Openings 13 through which the bladder may be inserted are held closed by elastic strips. One opening also gives access to a pocket in which the inflating tube 26 may be housed when not in use. A padded tab is secured to the outside of the garment and provided with releasable fastening for the purpose of applying pressure to the neck of the bladder to prevent air passing from one bag to the other during wear. An additional pocket accessible from outside the garment also is provided. The waist band is provided with an elastic band and drawstrings 9.
