Abstract
454,838. Wearing-apparel. GRIFFIN, E. R., 24, Sackville Street, Maroubra Bay, near Sydney, Australia. April 14, 1936, No. 10681. [Class 141] Means for supporting trousers, skirts, or like garments, at each side of the waist comprise a composite band consisting of a central elastic portion 17, Fig. 4, and inelastic end portions 16, 18, the end portion 16 being secured detachably to the inside of the waistband at the rear, and the band extending through a tunnel 9, the other end portion 18 which terminates in an adjustable buckle 19 being passed through a fixed guide 14, and the buckle 19 secured to one end of a flap 15, the other end of which is secured to the waistband of the garment. The openings 10, 11 of each tunnel are disposed respectively on the outer and inner sides of the waistband of the garment. In a modification, the supporting means at each side of the garment are reversed end for end.
