[Class 141] Trousers are provided with two tabs both secured either to the fly or to the fly catch and having means, such as buttons or button holes, for attachment to the ends of supporting belt means associated with the waist - band, the two tabs preferably being made from a single length of material. The supporting belt means, concealed in the lining of the waistband, may be made from two elastic bands, permanently or detachably secured one on either side of the back seam, or from a single band left free or secured in the back seam, the free ends of said band or bands being provided with non-resilient portions 10 passing into the interior of the trousers at the front through slits in the lining of the waistband, and carrying complementary means for attachment to the tabs 5<1>, 5<11> secured to the fly or fly catch. When the tabs are secured to the fly catch 3, both may be on the inside of the trousers, or one 5<11> may be on the outside, as shown in Fig. 4, passing through a slit 19 to the interior of the trousers. When the tabs are attached to the fly 1, both may be on the outside, as shown in Fig. 5, passing through slits 19 and 19<1> to the interior of the trousers, or one may be on the inside, the slit 19<1> being dispensed with. In a modified construction, the two tabs may be made of elastic material and extended rearwardly to engage securing means carried on the waistband or the ends of a belt or belts extending round or from the back of the waistband.
