Abstract

The cover is formed of a double wall (9, 10) which is divided into sectors by some concentric lines of welding (12). The handle is made of three sections of hollow tube (1, 2, 3) the upper section (3) being in the form of an airtight cylinder containing a piston (4). The piston compresses the air sucked in through a non-return valve (19). The cover can also be inflated by mouth through a valve in the handle or by a compressed air cylinder. There is a push button with a valve (14) at the top of the handle to allow the evacuation of the compressed air so that the umbrella can be folded.
