575,615. Inflatable dinghies. WILLIAMS, P. W. L., and R.F.D. CO., Ltd. Nov. 27, 1942, No. 16877. [Class 113 (ii)] In an inflatable dinghy comprising a tensioned bottom 12 and a tubular gunwale, the latter comprises two or more superposed tubes 10, 11, the inner and outer faces of which are covered with sheets 13, 14 of water- and airtight flexible material to form additional compartments 15 provided with one-way valves 16 through which air is automatically sucked in when the tubes are inflated, and which can be used for topping-up said compartments. The supplementary compartments may take the place of punctured upper and/or lower tubes. The latter may be of the same or different dimensions, and each may be constructed as described in Specification 575,613.
